# How to offer promotional codes for paid tickets

To offer promotional codes, **go to your Stripe account.**

1. Go to the **Products tab on the top**, then click the **Coupons tab on the left side.**

2. Click Create a Coupon
3. Enter a name for your records (this is NOT the coupon code, you will create that later).
4. Select Type - percentage or fixed amount
5. Select a duration
6. **Be sure to turn codes ON**
   1. Here, enter the customer-facing coupon code that you will share.

7. Click "Create coupon" at the bottom of the page
8. As a best practice, test your promotion code to ensure it's working!
