# Create Breakout Rooms

#### Creating breakout rooms allows attendees to speak in smaller groups during a session.

To create breakout rooms, simply click the “create breakout rooms” button in the Admin Controls area.

#### Next, set your breakout room details

1. Number of breakout rooms
2. Length in minutes: when this time expires, everyone in breakout rooms will be prompted to join the main session again
3. Max people per breakout room: Limits the size of each room

#### A pop up will show up for all attendees.

Admins will be able to join any breakout room without being limited by room size (in order to go to any room and check in on attendees). Admins can also end breakout rooms early.

#### Inside breakout rooms, users will see a countdown timer with time remaining.

#### As an admin or speaker, you will have the ability inside of breakout rooms to go into any room, as well as end rooms early.

#### When the room ends, a pop up will prompt users to return to the session.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://conferencetap.gitbook.io/knowledge-base/speakers/create-breakout-rooms.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
